The OLMS-63K Series are OKI's original 4-bit single-chip low-power microcontrollers developed.  These LSIs achieve 8-bit class performance with 16-bit structure for one-word basic instruction length, a multiplication/division circuit, etc.  A built-in dot matrix LCD driver and a melody circuit allow further downsizing in product designing, making these LSIs most suitable for handy devices such as pagers, game machines and electronic pocketbooks.

FEATURES

Most suitable for low power consumption battery-drive devices
a) Low-voltage operation
Achieves guarantee of 0.9V low-voltage operation by the use of a back-up (boost-up) circuit.  Not applicable to ML63295A
b) Low supply current
Dual clock configuration is used in the oscillation circuit, enabling low power consumption in software switching.
- Low speed side: Crystal oscillation and CR oscillation (with an external resistor) ··· Mask optional. Refer to the oscillation circuit specifications of each product.
- High speed side: Crystal oscillation, ceramic oscillator oscillation, and CR oscillation ··· Software selectable.  Refer to the oscillation circuit specifications of each product.
Supports LCD power-down mode specific to the LCD driver section in addition to CPU HALT (standby) mode.
c) High performance
Uses 16-bit structure for basic instruction length.  A maxium of 439 types of instruction sets are provided, allowing increase in program processing efficiency.  The CPU processing speed is improved by applying 2-clock configuration for one machine cycle.
