The ML2216 is a speech synthesis LSI that uses P2ROM of 2M/4M/8M bits as a voice data storage memory. The ADPCM decoder, D/A converter, speaker drive amplifier, and external analog input pin required for voice playback are integrated into a single chip for performing functions necessary for voice playback systems. Voice data is written in Okifs specific built-in memory P2ROM during production test process, greatly reducing delivery turn-around time from order reception to mass-production and shipment compared to the existing products equipped with built-in mask ROM. As mask cost is no longer required, this series reduces customerfs development cost dramatically.
ML2216-XXX
A speech synthesis LSI with a built-in large capacity 8M-bit P2ROM. This LSI dramatically reduces the delivery turn-around time from order reception to mass-production and delivery. The mask cost for voice data is not required. P2ROM nonvolatile memory that cannot be rewritten is also suitable for equipment used for emergency voice guidance.
FEATURES
- Long playback time of up to 8.7 minutes
Equipped with ample storage capacity to support large amount of voice data.
- Built-in 8¶-drive 300mW speaker amplifier (VDD = 5V)
Reduction of installation size is achieved by incorporating an analog output circuit.
- Built-in 5V regulator
Direct connection with CPU is allowed also for 5V powered systems.
