OKI ADPCM Speech Synthesis LSI ML2240

The ML2240 is a 4-channel mixing speech synthesizer LSI which allows direct connection of external mask ROMs, EPROMs, etc., up to 128 Mbits for storing speech data. The playback methods can be selected from 8-/16-bit PCM, 8-bit non-linear PCM, and 2-/4-bit ADPCM2. It also features 2-channel stereo output and volume adjustment. This LSI is provided with a 14-bit D/A converter and a low-pass filter. A speech synthesizer device can easily be configured by externally connecting the CPU to this LSI.
