The ML7065, fabricated in mixed-signal process technology, is a wireless communication LSI integrating an analog RF circuitry for the 2.4GHz ISM band and baseband logic compliant to IEEE802.15.4. Specifically designed for applications such as PC peripherals, radio remote controllers for digital home appliances and sensor data loggers, its low power consumption can realize long battery life and high cost effectiveness.
Moreover, by meeting the IEEE802.15.4 communication protocol standard, seamless integration with other compliant devices is possible, ML7065, therefore, being a future-proof concept.
Representing an open global standard, IEEE802.15.4 specfies the PHY, MAC and Data Link layers and has been adopted by the ZigBeeTM Alliance to construct high-level data link and network layers tailored to the design of wirelessly networked devices. On silicon-level the ML7065fs PHY and MAC single-chip architecture assures future smooth transition to ZigBee multi-vendor interoperable products.
