8-bit MCU OLMS610K Series

Product highlight: new ML610Q431/ Q432 ultra-low power 8bit MCUs with LCD driver

ML610Q431 - OKI´s new low power 8bit MCUThe ML610Q431/Q432 are 8-bit flash microcontrollers (MCUs) that incorporate 1.1V flash memory based on OKI’s proprietary low-power technology and a sophisticated power-management function, achieving one of the lowest power consumption in the industry.

The ML610Q431/Q432 includes a highly efficient RISC-type CPU, an LCD driver, two types of A/D converters, and on-chip debugging functions.
Based on OKI’s proprietary low-power technology, the ML610Q431/Q432 operates over a wide range of voltage (from a low 1.1V to 3.6V), and achieves a current consumption that is equivalent to MCUs with built-in mask ROM. Therefore, while keeping the advantage of flash memory MCU’s short development and manufacturing time, the ML610Q431/Q432 can simultaneously enable use of smaller and lighter batteries because of its low power consumption.

These MCUs are the first from a new low power series ML610Q400 and are best suited for handheld and battery-driven devices with LCDs such as watches, thermometers, bike computers or weatherstations where power consumption, flexibility and time-to-market are key issues.
Sample shipment is starting from April 2008 and volume shipment from June 2008.

Some of the key features are:

  • 1.1V operation with embedded Flash
  • 0.5µA consumption in HALT mode, 1µA consumption in 32kHz mode
  • integrated LCD drivers with up to 1536 segments
  • Rich set up Timers, Interfaces, I/Os and A/D converters
  • based on OKI´s well-established "nX-U8/100" RISC architecture - having sold more than 60 million units
