ML7065 - single chip solution for IEEE 802.15.4

Zigbee (IEEE 802.15.4) Single Chip 2.4 GHz RF, PHY, and MAC for Low-Data Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks Oki's ML7065 is an integrated single chip solution, which has a 2.4GHz radio, Physical layer (PHY) and Media access control (MAC) layer for low-data rate wireless connectivity for home, business and industrial applications. This low-power wireless single chip solution is IEEE 802.15.4 compliant. The ML7065 includes the complete IEEE 802.15.4 MAC, which reduces the requirements for a network/application processor. This solution was developed to provide wireless connectivity for PAN gateways, remote control for digital homes, and sensor data loggers.
For a better customer support OKI cooperates with Integration Associates/CompXs, a well known member of the ZigBee Alliance. While OKI delivers the IEEE802.15.4 compliant IC, Integration offers the ZigBee software stack for different MCU architectures. The combination of OKIs ML7065 and CompXs ZigBee software stack, running on a Renesas H8 MCU, received the ZigBee Compliant Platform certificate.
The following illustration provides examples of how Oki’s ML7065 chip can be used to connect a variety of sensing, monitoring and control devices within a ZigBee Network.
